Powerpoint Presentation makes our brain switch off
I'm not sure if all of you read today's The New Paper but there was two pages on a study showing that PowerPoint presentations is POINTLESS.
The hundreds of PowerPoint presentation we have sat through for hours in school did nothing to help us learn better but on the contrary it was a disaster to our learning. Using PowerPoint as a business tool was considered important but will it still ?
To cut things short the study shows that our brain can't cope with the information provided to us during a presentation because info comes to us from written and spoken form at the same time which distracts our attention from either one.
So my friends if you are wondering why you attend all the lectures but still do not do well you have something to blame on now. Are we ready to write off PowerPoint from school? If we do what would replace it? From my point of view there's nothing much i can do about so my first thing to do would be SKIP LECTURES ;) maybe my grades would go up =p
I'M SAVED FROM HOURS OF BORING LECTURES (soon i hope). thank you professors for finding this out. now we need someone BANISH POWERPOINT.
errr. did we pay money to purchase a useless software?
